The body of a man, identified by police as a known drug user, was discovered with multiple stab wounds late on Friday at the abandoned Clifton Hill Beach Facility in Point Fortin.

Investigators said the victim, wearing only a pair of black boxers, was found face down in a pool of blood outside a derelict multi-coloured concrete building on the southern side of the facility’s car park. He had visible wounds to the neck.

Police were alerted around 9 pm on August 22, 2025, when a woman walked into the Point Fortin Police Station, reporting that a Hispanic woman had come to her home, struggling to explain but indicating that a man had been killed.

Officers immediately went to the scene and confirmed the discovery.

The District Medical Officer later authorised the removal of the body to the Forensic Science Centre for an autopsy, while crime scene specialists from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (Region III) processed the area.

Preliminary inquiries revealed that the victim was last seen alive at the old facility between 3 and 4 pm. Neighbours reported hearing sounds suggesting a fight inside the building.

The body was eventually discovered by the Hispanic woman who sought help.

Police continue to investigate the murder.
