The mysterious disappearance of a La Romaine man and his girlfriend has raised an alarm after blood and spent shell casings — some bearing TTPS markings — were discovered at his home yesterday.

Samuel Montano, 44, of Sunset Cove Extension, La Romain and his girlfriend, Zaheeda Mohammed, 36, of Cottage Street, St John’s Village, San Fernando, were last seen by Montano’s sister at her home on Saturday around 11 am.

She went to his home around 9:40 am yesterday, but there was no sign of her brother or his girlfriend. She saw a trail of what he believes to be blood from his home to the seashore.

When officers from the San Fernando CID and Southern Division Task Force got to the house, they found a bloody sheet on the bed and a quantity of assorted spent shells on the floor. They included eight nine mm spent shells, seven with the markings TTPS, six 40 calibre shells, nine 5.56 shells and five projectiles.

With the assistance of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team, the police conducted searches but were unsuccessful. Checks were also done at the health facility in the Southern and South Western Division.

The coast guard, as well as the Homicide Bureau and Anti-Kidnapping Unit, were contacted.
