Leah Chin of the Bolles School out of Florida set the Junior PanAm “B” qualifying times in the 15-and-over girls 50 and 100 metres freestyle at the recent Karl Dalhouse Memorial Swim Meet.
The PanAm “B” qualifying times are 27.69 seconds in the 50 metres, and 1:00.89 for the 100 metres.
The former Mount Alvernia high school standout won the 50 metres in a personal best 27.07 and the 100 metres also in a personal best 59.60.
She also won the 200 metres freestyle in personal best 2:14.10.
Chin says it was important for her to record some fast time.
