Live Nation Entertainment has shattered another financial milestone, reporting more than $25 billion in revenue for 2025 — the first time in company history it has crossed that threshold. The figure marks a 9% increase over its previous record set in 2024, underscoring the continued global surge in live entertainment demand.

According to the company’s year-end earnings report released Thursday, Live Nation generated $6.3 billion in fourth-quarter revenue, an 11% jump from the same period a year earlier and above analyst expectations of $6.1 billion.

Concerts Drive the Engine

Concert activity remained the dominant revenue source, bringing in $20.9 billion for the year, up 10% from 2024. Fourth-quarter concert revenue alone reached $5.15 billion, reflecting strong stadium tours and large-scale events worldwide.

Ticketing revenue showed steadier growth, totaling $3.08 billion for the year, a modest 3% increase, with quarterly figures essentially flat year-over-year at $846 million. Sponsorships, however, emerged as a major growth segment, rising 11% to $1.33 billion after adding $134 million in new deals.

Global Fan Demand Hits New Highs

Live Nation reported a record 159 million fans attended its events in 2025, with international attendance surpassing domestic audiences for the first time — a shift the company had predicted as emerging markets continue to expand.

“In 2025, the bond between artists and their global fan bases reached new heights,” said President and CEO Michael Rapino. “As artists unlock untapped markets and headline the world’s most iconic stadiums, we’ve built momentum that carries us into a record-breaking 2026.”

Strong Outlook for 2026

Early indicators suggest the growth streak will continue. Deferred revenue — money from tickets already sold for future shows — sits at $4 billion, with roughly 80% of large-venue events for 2026 already booked.

Venue Nation, the company’s venue division, expects attendance of about 70 million fans across its owned and operated amphitheaters, with bookings running ahead of both 2025 and the record year of 2024. Sponsorship commitments are also trending upward at double-digit rates.

Expanding Global Footprint

Live Nation continues to invest heavily in new venues and acquisitions, particularly outside the United States, positioning itself to capitalize on rising demand for live events worldwide.

“We’re not just building venues; we’re crafting world-class stages designed to elevate the artist’s vision and their connection to fans,” Rapino said. “This investment doesn’t just drive ticket sales — it revitalizes local economies and cements our venues as cultural anchors.”
