Liverpool Held to 1-1 Draw by Nottingham Forest

Leaders Liverpool had to come from behind today to earn a 1-all draw with inform Nottingham Forest in their crucial English Premier league showdown at the City Ground.

New Zealand’s Chris Wood gave Forest the lead after only 8 minutes but the Portuguese international Diogo Jota rescued a point for the Reds in the 66th minute.

The draw means Liverpool maintain their six point lead over Forest who moved a point clear of third placed Arsenal who are in action tomorrow against Tottenham Hotspur.

Meanwhile champions Manchester City gave up a 2-nil and were held 2-all by Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Phil Foden gave City a commanding lead with a pair of goals 12 minutes apart in the second half but Brentford stormed back with two goals in the last 8 minutes.

In other games Chelsea needed a goal five minutes into added time to earn a 2-all draw with Bournemouth while West Ham United defeated Fulham 3-2 in their London derby.
