The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise has announced new controlled prices for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), effective Monday, July 21. Through the Supplies Control Unit (SCU), the ministry stated that the adjustment reflects changes in the acquisition price, leading to a national increase of 10 cents per gallon. The wholesale price for imported LPG remains uniform across all six districts, set at $4.42 per gallon. However, retail prices vary depending on whether the consumer resides in an urban or rural area. In urban municipalities such as Belize City, Belmopan, San Ignacio, and others, the retail price stands at $6.02 per gallon or $1.38 per pound. In contrast, residents of rural areas will pay slightly more, with the price set at $6.12 per gallon or $1.40 per pound.
