For many years, there has been an underlying ego-driven segregation among dancehall entertainers. However, a brother duo is on a mission to make a positive change in that regard. The name of the entity they have created is “Mad Dawg Entertainment,” and based on their track record, their ambition may not be far-fetched.

Boasting a production catalog, which includes productions for the likes of Chronic Law, I Octane, Rytikal, Silkboss and many more established artists, the label has still managed to provide a platform for emerging talent. Several uprising talents such as Thug Famous, Soviyet, and Jahvel have benefited greatly from the exposure the label has provided to them. According to the label’s CEO, Jason Senior he believes that it is very important to give new talents a platform to showcase their talent.

“I believe in developing new talent because that is how you keep the music vibrant. Every artiste has a different vibe, but some producers shun them (young artistes) because it takes more effort and money to bus a yute than to just voice who dun buss already yuh zimmie. However, I want to be an agent of change, which is why me give youths like Thug Famous a run because him have star quality suh him just need the eyes and ears fi lock in to him ting” stated Jason Senior.

On the other hand, his brother is of the view that working with the established artiste will propel the label to new heights and raise the standard of the music industry.

“For me, it’s about the talent level, not necessarily who is hyped at the moment. I classify a person as being a big artiste based on his or her talent level not just popularity because a nuff so called big artiste nuh good. If you notice the artistes we record are all very very talented inna real life because we have an internal quality standard that we nah drop” stated Kori Senior.

Currently, the label is busy promoting their latest single release, entitled Crazy Life by Thug Famous. They are also in the studio adding the finishing touches to a new juggling.
