Weeks after selector Foota Hype criticized some Dancehall entertainers for not supporting Squash following his incarceration, Malie Donn has stepped up in his defense.
During a recent performance, Malie Donn blasted fellow artists for going silent and accused some of switching sides.
Squash remains in custody at the Miami Detention Center. His trial is scheduled for September 2. However, reports indicate the Big Breeze deejay has until August 26 to accept a plea deal and avoid trial or face a potentially longer sentence.
He is facing charges of illegal possession of a firearm as an undocumented immigrant and unlawful possession of a machine gun.
If convicted, Squash could face up to 15 years in prison along with possible deportation.
