Malie Donn releases new EP

Producer Dan Sky is proud of his work with dancehall artiste Malie Donn.

The producer has worked with the deejay on several projects and says Malie Donn has shown growth and maturity in his work.

"Malie Donn is a hard-working artiste and he has evolved musically and shown depth in his work since we started working about five years ago. This new project, Leak the Hard Drive is a representation of hard work, lots of sleepless days and nights in the studios and it shows different sides of the artiste," said Dan Sky.

Leak the Hard Drive, a 12-track project, was produced by Dan Sky Records, Attomatic Records and Antuwang Music. It features collaborations with Jada Kingdom, Byron Messia, Govana and Armanii. It was released on July 10.

"This EP wasn't a planned or a promoted EP. This is a raw, uncut compilation of songs that we've been recording from the start of the year to this present day. Upon the request of fans and supporters to leak the hard drive, that is where I got the inspiration to name this project," said Dan Sky.

Leak the Hard Drive features songs such as Love Existence (with Jada Kingdom), 9 PM (with Armanii), Birthday Affairs (with Byron Messia), and Night is Young (with Govana). Malie Donn is best known for hit songs including V6, Hennergy, Dark and Corrupt, and Rum Please.

Dan Sky has been in the production game for close to a decade now.

"I've had the love for music from a tender age and I'm from a family that loves music, so me venturing into music production was something destined to happen," said Dan Sky, while adding that he is very hands-on where his productions are concerned. "I bring a mixture of creative vision and expertise. I always try to get involved with the production so I can shape the sound and the direction of a track."

Dan Sky has a long list of credentials both as a solo producer and as a collaborator. Among the major projects that he has been involved with are the 'Vent' rhythm, 'Wuff Wuff' by Javo Donn, and Malie Donn's The Grand Rising EP.
