Man Gunned Down in Belize City Evening Shooting

One man is dead, and a neighborhood is shaken after a shooting in Belize City this evening. Just before five o’clock, Rasheed Parham was walking on Rosalind Bradley Street in the Lake Independence Area, when he came under gunfire. Parham was hit several times as he took off running, leaving his slippers behind. He eventually collapsed in a drain several yards away from Lawrence Avenue. The area was swarmed with police and scenes of crime technicians moments after.  Shortly after five o’clock, family members were called to the scene to identify the body. We note that the murder happened a stone’s throw away from a recently installed CCTV camera. We’ll be following up on this latest city murder and have more for you in a subsequent newscast.
