Manchester High Tips XLCR as Favourites for Spaulding Cup

Coach of Manchester High cricket team, Barry Barnes, admits that Excelsior will start favourites when both teams meet in the All-Island Spaulding Cup on April 24.

The venue is yet to be decided.

Excelsior qualified for the islandwide competition following their 420-runs triumph over St. Jago in the final of the ISSA/First Global Bank Grace Shield trophy.

Meanwhile, Manchester booked their place after beating May Day High by 140-runs in the ISSA. GK Insurance Grace Headley Cup final.

Barnes says he’s familiar with the quality of Excelsior’s squad.

He says all-rounder Michael Clarke will be the danger man for Excelsior.
