Manuel Grant Appointed Acting Deputy Clerk of National Assembly

The Office of the Clerk and the National Assembly have congratulated Manuel Grant on his appointment as Acting Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly.  Grant previously served as a Parliamentary Officer Grade One and has participated in several professional-development programmes focused on parliamentary procedure and administration.  In February 2025, he attended the Caribbean Clerks Programme, which brought together parliamentary staff from across the region to exchange knowledge and strengthen their understanding of legislative practices.  Grant also travelled to London in March 2026 as part of a Belizean delegation attending the 74th Westminster Seminar where participants examined issues such as parliamentary transparency, oversight, privilege and codes of conduct.  The National Assembly says Grant’s experience and continued professional development will support him as he takes on the responsibilities of Acting Deputy Clerk.
