Marabella man shot dead in yard

A 49-year-old Marabella labourer was chased into a Williamsville yard and shot dead on Thursday afternoon by a gunman demanding money.

Dead is Aaron Seebaran of Union Road.

According to a police report, Seebaran was shot around 4.15 pm at a two-storey house in Williamsville.

Witnesses told police that Seebaran ran to the back of a resident’s house, followed by a gunman armed with a firearm.

The gunman, described as about 5ft 8in tall, slim-built and brown-complexioned, and wearing long pants and a jersey, shouted, “Whey meh money,” before firing three shots.

Seebaran was found slouched in the toilet area at the back of the premises. He was wearing a white vest, black and white pants and black slippers.
