Mark Swift Charged After Alleged Shooting at Two Teens

In another Belize City case, Mark Swift has been charged following an alleged shooting on Police Street early Saturday morning.  Two teenage boys reported that Swift threatened them with a revolver and fired one shot in their direction as they ran away. Neither teenager was injured.  Police detained Swift shortly afterwards and recovered a revolver from a nearby drain. The weapon reportedly contained five live rounds and one spent shell casing.  Swift has since been charged with aggravated assault, keeping a firearm without a gun licence and keeping ammunition without a gun license.
