Market Vendor Dispute With Belize City Council Intensifies

A dispute between the Belize City Council and market vendor Aaron Castillo intensified this afternoon after attorneys representing Castillo invited the media to witness what they describe as the Council’s planned removal of property from two booths at the Michael Finnegan Market. The Council maintains that the booths have become a public health hazard because spoiled meat was left inside after electricity to the premises was disconnected. Reporter Paul Diaz has the story.
