The annual Jo Mersa Marley Birthday Celebration returns for its third staging on Saturday, March 8, with a new venue and an electrifying lineup of reggae and dancehall greats. This year, the event will take place at the Bob Marley Museum in Kingston, uniting multiple generations of Marleys with top artistes for a night of music and tribute.

Headlining the show are the Marley brothers – Stephen, Julian, Ky-Mani, and Damian ‘Jr Gong’ – continuing the family’s reggae legacy. They’ll be joined by the next generation, including Skip, Yohan, Mystic, Soul-Rebel, Shacia Payne, and Hymn Marley, each bringing their own style to the stage.

The celebration will also feature reggae and dancehall heavyweights such as Bounty Killer, Tarrus Riley, Spragga Benz, Jesse Royal, Bugle, Agent Sasco, Jah9, Lila Ike, Ras-I, Christopher Ellis, Jaz Elise, Jemere Morgan, Black Am I, Amlak Redsquare, and Karbon. Renowned broadcaster Ron Muschette will host, with DJ Rasarella keeping the energy high throughout the night.

More than just a concert, the Jo Mersa Marley Birthday Celebration is a heartfelt gathering of artistes, family, and fans honouring Jo Mersa Marley, who passed away in December 2022. The son of Stephen Marley and grandson of Bob, he was a singer, songwriter, and producer who fused roots reggae with contemporary influences. His catalogue includes Burn It Down, Hurting Inside, Rock and Swing, Comfortable, and tracks from his final EP, Eternal, including Guess Who’s Coming Home and We Made It.
