Masicka declares Dancehall in his palm

“Dancehall inna me palm forever,” says Masicka in a new social media post.

His comment follows ongoing conversations among industry players and fans claiming the deejay is avoiding lyrical clashes.

Most recently, fellow Dancehall artist Devin Di Dakta dropped a string of diss tracks aimed at Masicka, even taking on a few upcoming entertainers from his camp who tried to challenge him, much to the amusement of online users and Dancehall lovers.

Masicka, who has yet to respond directly to Devin Di Dakta, took to Instagram to share a teaser of his latest song Autocrat that was released today. His caption read, “Dancehall ina me palm forever, and yes me shoot nuff video cause I am rich.”

While some fans rally behind him, others are pressuring Masicka to prove his lyrical dominance, pointing to past instances where he seemingly avoided clashes with Alkaline and Skeng.

This latest wave of debate stems from criticisms Masicka received for his attempt to do damage control after Jahshii hinted at tension between him and Vybz Kartel during Reggae Sumfest, saying, “Dem a talk bout crown and not even bad like yuh shoes lace,” before performing lines from their hit collaboration Pieces.

Both Masicka and Jahshii have since hinted that there are no bad vibes with Kartel.
