Masicka set to headline Barclays Center for the first time

Dancehall star Masicka is set to take another major step in his career with his first headline concert at New York’s Barclays Center on August 15.

The show is being promoted by CJ Milan, who recently postponed three scheduled events following a family bereavement, including Alkaline concerts in Miami and Philadelphia.

For Masicka, the upcoming performance represents a significant milestone, as the Barclays Center has become one of the premier venues for Jamaican entertainers seeking to showcase their drawing power on an international stage.

A successful outing would place the deejay alongside acts such as Vybz Kartel, Buju Banton and Alkaline, all of whom have headlined the Brooklyn-based arena.

The venue is capable of accommodating close to 19,000 patrons and has hosted some of the biggest names in music and entertainment.
