Massy Finance Remittances has signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL), bringing MoneyGram customers closer to one of the Caribbean’s biggest sporting events.

The partnership, announced on August 21, will see Massy Finance Remittances and CPL collaborate on customer promotions, match opportunities and other fan experiences during the tournament.

The agreement begins with the 2026/2027 Republic Bank CPL season and will be activated across participating Caribbean markets throughout the three-year term.

Massy Finance Remittances CEO Neela Marquez said the partnership reflected the shared ability of remittances and cricket to connect Caribbean people across borders.

“Remittances and cricket may seem very different, but they have something important in common: both connect Caribbean people across borders,” Marquez said.

She said remittances play an important role in helping families separated by geography continue to support one another, while cricket creates a similar sense of connection among Caribbean people at home and throughout the diaspora.

“CPL creates that same sense of connection on an extraordinary scale,” Marquez said.

She added that the company wanted customers to benefit directly from the partnership through opportunities to attend matches, participate in promotions and share CPL experiences with family and friends.

Under the agreement, details of specific promotions and participating markets will be announced during the CPL season through Massy Finance Remittances’ channels.

The partnership is part of the company’s wider effort to strengthen relationships with customers and create additional value around its remittance services.

CPL Commercial Director Jamie Stewart welcomed Massy Finance Remittances and MoneyGram to the CPL family, saying the tournament was about more than cricket.

“CPL has always been about more than cricket. It celebrates Caribbean culture, community and the connections that unite our region and its people around the world,” Stewart said.

He said those shared values made the partnership a natural fit and expressed confidence that the two organisations would create experiences for MoneyGram customers and CPL fans across the region.

Massy Finance Remittances operates in Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and through Massy Card Barbados Ltd.

Through its relationship with MoneyGram, the company provides international money transfer services designed to help families and communities maintain connections across borders.

The company also offers WIDIT in select markets, a digital platform through which customers can send and receive remittances.

The three-year partnership is expected to provide MoneyGram customers with opportunities to engage more closely with the CPL through promotions and match experiences while expanding Massy Finance Remittances’ engagement across its Caribbean markets.
