That’s the retort from mayor of Montego Bay, Richard Vernon, to those critics of the hardworking people of Montego Bay, including those who do beautification and sanitation work in the resort town.
Daina Davy reports.
During her contribution to the Sectoral Debates on Tuesday, the Opposition Spokesman on Local Government, Natalie Neita Garvey, highlighted what she claimed is the disgrace of our tourism towns of Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Negril.
But those comments have seemingly drawn the ire of mayor of Montego Bay, Councillor Richard Vernon.
Mayor Vernon issued the warning at Thursday’s monthly meeting of the St. James Municipal Corporation.
He says Montego Bay is the cleanest city in the country, the biggest resort town, and the place bringing in the most tourism investments.
