McKenzie Defends Chung’s Appointment as FID Head

Deputy leader of the Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, Desmond McKenzie, is hitting back at critics of the appointment of Dennis Chung as chief technical director of the Financial Investigations Division.

He was speaking at the JLP’s Central Manchester workers meeting on Monday.

The opposition has called for Chung’s appointment to be rescinded, claiming he’s politically biased and unqualified.

But McKenzie says it was the People’s National Party that first drew public attention to Dennis Chung’s competence and quality.
