25-year-old mechanic Joshua Camal was arraigned yesterday on a charge of burglary with intent to commit theft. According to reports, on October 7, police responded to an attempted burglary where they saw two men fleeing on Gibnut Street in the city. That’s when a chase followed to catch both men. Camal, after being detained by the police, was seen with a yellow bolt cutter inside his left hand, which he acknowledged in court that he said would be used to execute the crime. Leniency was requested on his behalf after he pleaded guilty, as this was a first-time offence. Camal was formally charged on October 9, and a fine of $505 was imposed until November 30, 2025. Failure to pay the fine will result in three months’ imprisonment.
