Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is ringing in the new year with her return to Instagram and a brand-new Netflix show.

The Associated Press confirmed Wednesday that the account @meghan belongs to the Duchess. Her first post, a black-and-white video of herself at the beach, shows her writing “2025” in the sand on an overcast day. Within hours, the account gained over 200,000 followers.

On Thursday, Meghan revealed the trailer for her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, in a second post. “I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it. Wishing you all a fantastic new year!” she captioned. The series is set to premiere on January 15.

Meghan and Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, initially shared an Instagram account, @KensingtonRoyal, alongside Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales, before creating their own account, @SussexRoyal, in 2019. However, @SussexRoyal was discontinued in 2020 when the couple stepped back from official royal duties.

Meghan had hinted at a social media comeback in a 2022 interview with The Cut, saying, “Do you want to know a secret? I’m getting back … on Instagram.” Despite past concerns about online harassment and advocating for stronger content moderation on social media platforms, Meghan’s return has generated significant buzz, underscoring her evolving public narrative.
