Melbourne, JDF maintain momentum

Melbourne and the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) maintained their strong starts in the Jamaica Cricket Association Super 50 at the weekend, with each securing a second win in Zone D. Melbourne made short work of hosts St Mary Cricket Association at Three Hills Oval, dismissing them for 73 in 16.5 overs. Matthew Comrie led the attack with 3-14, while Khari Campbell, Shalome Parnell and Abhijai Mansingh each claimed two wickets. Ashane Aarons top-scored with 32 not out. Melbourne then cruised to 78-2 in 8.1 overs, with Chadwick Walton finishing on 41 not out.
