Mexico Highlights Feminist Foreign Policy at Belize Women’s Forum

Against the backdrop of the allegations involving Belize’s representative to ICAO, the conversation around women’s rights and gender-based violence took on added relevance in Belize City today. The National Women’s Commission and the Embassy of Mexico hosted a special presentation on Mexico’s Feminist Foreign Policy, looking at how diplomacy can be used to advance gender equality, human rights and women’s participation in decision-making. Mexico’s Ambassador to Belize, Ana Luisa Vallejo Barba, led the discussion.  Reporter Zayna Augustine has the story.
