After losing their opening encounter, the Middlesex Titans had a lot to be happy about yesterday following an 11-run victory over the Middlesex United Stars in their Jamaica Cricket Association Dream XI T10 encounter at Sabina Park.
The Titans opted to bat and posted 88 for five in their allotted 10 overs, with Tyrone Daley leading the way with 25 from 21 balls and 15 runs each from opener Alwyne Williams and veteran Krishmar Santokie.
There were two wickets each for Jevone Wynter and Mickel Silva for the United Stars, who limped to 77 for seven in reply.
Captain Damani Sewell led the resistance with 40 from 23 balls while Nkala Tracey made 16.
Seamer Jermaine Chisholm bagged three wickets for 15 runs, with Santokie and Andel Gordon chipping in with two wickets each.
In the second game of the double-header, the Surrey Royals also got their first win of the campaign, following an emphatic 70-run win over the Surrey Risers.
Odean Smith starred with the bat for the Royals, hitting 44 from 14 balls in the Royals total of 141 for five.
Carlos Brown chipped in with 37 from 17 balls against two wickets for Ojay Shields.
Spinner Ryan Francis then picked up two wickets to stifle the Riser’s innings, which sputtered to 71 for five.
Jamie Hay was the only bright spark, with a fighting 45 not out from 27 deliveries.
