Minimum Wage to Increase to $16,000 on June 1

Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has announced a further adjustment to the minimum wage from $15,000 to $16,000.

The raise will come in effect on June 1 this year.

He says this represents a an increase of more than $150 percent since Dr. Holness took office.
