The journey to Miss World T&T (MWTT) 2025 has commenced with the unveiling of 20 finalists during a Reveal Night hosted at The Brix Autograph Collection.
The event was hosted by media personality Davy Murray and Miss World T&T 2022 First Runner-Up Dania Duntin. Attendees heard from reigning Miss World T&T Anna-Lise Nanton, who spoke on her global Top 20 placement, and from Giselle Laronde West, Miss World 1986, who reflected on the near 40-year milestone since her win.
MWTT communications professional Adrian Raymond and MWTT creative director Richard Young also addressed the gathering, both outlining their roles in preparing the finalists for the months ahead. National Pageant Director Charu Lochan Dass offered closing remarks before the introduction of the Top 20 delegates, who appeared in designs by Kooti’s Clothing with styling by Sacha Cosmetics and Salon Essentials.
In her remarks, West encouraged the finalists to focus on personal growth during the competition. Raymond highlighted the importance of communication skills, while Young spoke on the significance of confidence and self-expression.
The delegates will now begin a structured training programme covering media engagement, runway, fitness, wellness, and charitable involvement. This preparation leads up to the Grand Coronation, scheduled for November 16 at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA). The winner will go on to represent T&T at the Miss World international competition.
Dass described the pageant as a developmental platform for young women, noting that this year’s edition will emphasise culture and the Miss World motto, Beauty with a Purpose.
T&T last captured the Miss World title in 1986 when West secured the crown. Since then, the country has produced several strong contenders on the international stage. The upcoming edition will see whether the next representative can match or surpass those achievements.
