Two Tobago fishermen who went missing at sea for four days were found alive this morning and brought safely to shore.

Albert “BB” James and Junior “Flehbeh” Thorne disappeared after leaving Pigeon Point Fish Port early Tuesday. After days of searching, they were rescued today and taken to the Scarborough General Hospital for medical care.

Speaking with Guardian Media this morning, TEMA Director Allan Stewart called it “a miracle at sea.” “This successful story is one that could be referred to as Peter from the Bible who walked on water.

It’s a miracle at sea, and therefore we thank those who were involved in the search this morning. We wish both men well and that they recover nicely as they are taken for care at the Scarborough General Hospital at this time.”

Family members, who spent days clinging to hope, are relieved and grateful for the safe return of their loved ones.
