MOLIY is officially having her biggest global breakthrough to date, emerging as the most nominated African artiste at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards with an impressive three nods across top-tier categories. The Ghanaian-born star is up for World Artist of the Year, Best New Artist (Hip Hop) and Best Music Video for the viral smash Shake It to the Max (Fly) – Remix, cementing her status as one of the most exciting new voices in global pop and Afrobeats.
The remix, which features Silent Addy alongside dancehall heavyweights Skillibeng and Shenseea, earned a nomination in the Best Music Video category ahead of the 13th staging of the radio airplay-driven awards, set for March 26 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and airing live on FOX. The record’s infectious energy and cross-cultural appeal helped it dominate Billboard and international charts throughout 2025, earning gold and platinum certifications in multiple territories.
Reacting to the milestone, MOLIY shared her excitement on Instagram, writing: “Amazing, three nominations for @iheartradio. Thank you so much. The most nominated African artiste this year.” Her achievement stands out even in a highly competitive field led by Taylor Swift with nine nominations, followed by Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter and Alex Warren, each securing eight nods.
Meanwhile, MOLIY’s momentum shows no signs of slowing. Her Tyla-assisted follow-up Body Go is currently sitting at #6 on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart, after peaking at #42 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, and now climbing to #34 on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay. Adding to her run, she has also released What I Like, featuring Ayetian and produced by Rvssian, lifted from the producer’s Recovery riddim project—another strategic move that continues to position MOLIY at the centre of Africa-Caribbean pop crossover success.
