Following chatter that Negril may no longer have the capacity to host Dream Weekend and claims that some small hotels are hiking prices, the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce appears to be positioning Mobay as a potential new home for the popular event.

In a Music News exclusive, Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Jason Russell said that with successful events like Reggae Sumfest and past shows such as Reggae Sunsplash and the Jazz & Blues Festival, they are hopeful Dream Weekend’s organizers will consider moving the event to the second city.
