Minister of Sport, Olivia Grange, presented an incentive cheque for $6.8 million to the Jamaica Senior Women’s Cricket Team, to show the government appreciation to their contribution to sports over the years.
Minister Grange says each player will receive $400,000 while each member of the management team will receive $200,000
She also took the opportunity to dismiss suggestions that the Andrew Holness led government is not a fan of cricket.
