The Morgan family is set to host a special event celebrating the life and legacy of reggae trailblazer Denroy Morgan, who would have turned 80 today May 15.
The celebration, announced via an Instagram post by his son Gramps Morgan, invites fans to join in the festivities.
Slated for May 16 at the family estate in St Thomas, the activities will include live music, Binghi drumming and special performances by Morgan next generation.
The event will also feature a limited sneaker giveaway for babies, children, and women from 12 pm to 3 pm.
Denroy Morgan, a musical prodigy, pioneer and hitmaker died at age 76 on March 3, 2022.
For decades he mesmerized audiences with some of reggae’s best loved songs, such as his smash hit I’ll Do Anything for You.
