Mr. Vegas: Golding’s Chain Skit Influenced Decision To Openly Endorse JLP

Dancehall star Mr. Vegas says the 2023 skit in which Mark Golding used a key to remove a chain from the neck of a black man was among the incidents that influenced him to openly support the Jamaica Labour Party, JLP.

Mr. Vegas made his debut on the political campaign trail in support of the JLP’s Heroy Clarke in Central St. James on Sunday.

Speaking on Nationwide at Five with Cliff Hughes and Ricardo Brooks, Mr. Vegas described the skit as offensive.

Mr. Vegas says he has grown to respect the Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness.
