Mount Pleasant Football Academy’s run in the Concacaf Champions Cup ended at the Round of 16 last night at the National Stadium as they fell 3-0 to LA Galaxy in the second leg, for a 6-0 aggregate defeat. Mt Pleasant came into the second leg with a big task to overcome after losing 3-0 in the first leg at the Dignity Health Sports Park in California. Their night started poorly when Joao Klauss opened the scoring in the 18th minute before Gabriel Pec doubled the lead in the 61st. Pec returned for his brace, and his team’s third, in the 87th to confirm the result.
