Naggo Head are the new champions of the Insports/Devon Biscuits Primary Schools Central Athletics Championship, which ended Wednesday afternoon at G.C. Foster College.
Naggo Head scored an impressive 313 points over the three-day championships to walk away with the top prize of $350,000.
Dethroned champions Spanish Town finished second with 236.5 points and the runners-up prize of $250,000. Greater Portmore was third with 229 points, and they received $200,000.
St. John’s Primary was fourth with 155 points, while Southborough rounded out the top five with 100 points. Teams finishing fourth to tenth all collected $100,000 each.
The top 8 teams will now advance to the grand finale at the National Stadium on May 20–22 to decide the all-island champions.
Meanwhile, Lysson emerged champions of the Eastern title last week.
And the Western champions will be crowned this weekend, with Corinaldi Primary of St. James starting the defence of their title tomorrow at St. Elizabeth Technical High School.
