The official calendar of events for national celebrations is now available. The National Celebrations Commission released the calendar this week, following the start of the season on Emancipation Day, August 1. The calendar details all the events happening countrywide for each municipality. Director of the Institute of Creative Arts, Kim Vasquez, says that this year’s calendar of events has something for everyone.
Vasquez says that the calendar is available in digital format, but for collectors, there will be a limited number of printed copies available.
Among the events is the launch of two new songs commissioned for the 50th anniversary of Carnival on August 13.
