Natti Natasha and Nando Boom’s collaboration “Dem Bow” climbs to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, making a stunning jump from 19 to 1 on the chart dated Jan. 10.

The Dominican-Panamanian powerhouse pairing also rules Latin Rhythm Airplay Chart.

“Dem Bow” distributed by Pina Records and Sony Music Entertainment U.S. Latin LLC, pulls from Shabba Ranks’ 1990 song of the same name and now delivers one of the boldest climbs to the summit in recent chart history. The song’s 19-1 rise marks the biggest leap to No. 1 since July 13, 2024, when Grupo Firme’s “El Beneficio de la Duda” vaulted 24-1.

The track earned 9.8 million audience impressions in the U.S., representing a 107% gain during the Dec. 26–Jan. 1 tracking week, according to Luminate.

Radio support played a key role, with strong rotation from stations including KQMR (Phoenix), KVVF (San Jose) and WODA (Puerto Rico) — proof that the song’s impact spans diverse Latino markets and reaches far beyond one region.

For Natti Natasha, the chart-topping moment is both personal and symbolic: beginning the year with two radio No. 1s confirms her staying power in a competitive Latin landscape.

“I can’t believe it; we are No. 1 at the start of the year on Latin Airplay and Latin Rhythm Airplay!” Natti told Billboard. “Thank you, United States, all the fans, Billboard, I love you! Happy new year.”

Ranks is not listed as a writer of this new interpretation and sample but with this latest victory, “Dem Bow” becomes Natti Natasha’s 12th No. 1 on Latin Airplay, following her previous leader “Desde Hoy” (June 2025). Her ongoing dominance places her among the most successful women in the format since the chart launched in 1994 — currently ranked fourth, trailing only Shakira (24 No. 1s), Karol G (20), and Gloria Estefan (13).

Nando Boom’s long-awaited Billboard breakthrough

But perhaps the most culturally powerful part of this story belongs to Nando Boom, born Fernando Brown, a legendary figure who helped shape the DNA of Spanish reggae in the ‘90s.

Despite his enormous influence and legacy, “Dem Bow” delivers Nando Boom his first No. 1 on any Billboard chart — a milestone that many fans see as long overdue. The win is especially meaningful because “Dem Bow” is a reimagination of his iconic ‘90s hit, now reborn for modern radio and streaming audiences.

Notably, Boom didn’t even appear on a Billboard chart until October, when the song debuted at No. 16 on Latin Rhythm Airplay — making this rise even more dramatic: from first appearance to chart champion in only a short stretch of time.

Helping push the record into its winning lane is celebrated producer Dímelo Flow, known for shaping contemporary reggaetón and Latin pop hits. His production modernizes the sound without stripping away the track’s roots, giving the collaboration both retro identity and current-day radio polish.

Hot Latin Songs debut: another first for Boom

The success doesn’t stop at radio. “Dem Bow” also grants Nando Boom a major multimetric breakthrough: the track debuts at No. 32 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart, which blends streaming, radio airplay, and sales.

That debut signals something bigger than a chart stat — it suggests “Dem Bow” is crossing generations, reaching longtime listeners who remember the original era of reggae en español, while simultaneously capturing newer fans experiencing the sound for the first time.

Nando Boom became one of the most iconic voices of that movement, and his “Dem Bow” is part of the Spanish-language wave that took Jamaican dancehall patterns and reinterpreted them for Latin audiences. In the early days of reggae en español, Panamanian artists routinely voiced over Jamaican dancehall riddims. In many instances,  the exact same instrumental, sometimes close recreations.
