Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard, Norman Powell, will be wearing the Black, Gold and Green when Jamaica competes in the FIBA World Cup 2027 Americas Pre-Qualifiers, from August 8–10.
Powell, who won a NBA title with the Toronto Raptors, made the announcement on Social media.

Jamaica will face Costa Rica, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, and the US Virgin Islands in the pre-qualifier tournament.
President of the Jamaica Basketball Association, Paulton Gordon, says Powell will anchor the team.
Gordon says several other players are interested in representing Jamaica.
