NBA legend Dikembe Mutombo has died of brain cancer age 58.
Mutombo was first diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2022.
Mutombo played 18 seasons in the NBA with the likes of Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia and New York before retiring in the 2008/09 season.
He was the league’s top defensive player four times and played in eight All Star games.
He was also inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame and was named the NBA’s first global ambassador.
