New Air Canada Montreal Route Expands Belize’s Global Travel Links

Belize has expanded its international air connectivity with the arrival of the inaugural Air Canada flight from Montreal, establishing the first direct route between the two destinations.  The new service broadens Belize’s access to travelers from Canada and Europe, with Montreal serving as a major hub that offers same-day connections from 23 European cities, including London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Rome, Lisbon, and Barcelona. Tourism stakeholders say this development improves convenience for long-haul travelers by reducing transfer times and creating smoother travel links to the country.  Officials from the tourism sector note that the route supports ongoing efforts to grow visitor arrivals and diversify source markets, as tourism remains one of Belize’s key contributors to employment and foreign exchange earnings.  The addition of the Montreal route complements existing North American connections while providing an additional gateway for European travelers through Canada’s largest carrier.  The Montreal–Belize route is now on sale, with tickets available through Air Canada and authorized travel partners.
