New Belize Banknotes Featuring National Heroes Now in Circulation

The only two national heroes of Belize are now featured on the two, five, ten-, twenty-, fifty- and one-hundred-dollar notes.  On the heels of the passing of Queen Elizabeth the Second, Prime Minister John Briceno had indicated that there would be no change to the design of our currency.  Fast forward today, and the Central Bank of Belize released the new designs which are now being dispensed at ATMs across the country and is now dubbed legal tender.  It is a mark in Belize’s history as we hear from Reporter Jaleeza Roberts.
