New Belize Police Association Board Elected for 2026


A new Belize Police Association has been elected following the conclusion of the internal elections, with results showing a mix of senior and junior officers securing the highest number of votesAccording to the official election results released by the Association, Sergeant Randy Lyons of the Belize Metropolitan Policing unit received the highest number of votes with 426, followed closely by Inspector Oscar Carlos of the Eastern Division, who secured 421 votes. Police Constable Eleanor Castillo, currently stationed at Roaring Creek, placed third with 346 votes, reflecting strong support from the wider membership.  Also elected to the Central Board is Corporal Kenrick Bol of the Eastern Division with 330 votes, Sergeant Alyson Revers of Hopkins with 298 votes, Corporal Shane Casimiro of Corozal with 281 votes, and Sergeant William Usher of the Intermediate South Formation, who rounded out the top seven with 273 votes.  The seven officers, having received the highest number of votes among all candidates, will comprise the Police Association’s Central Board for 2026. The results reflect participation from officers across multiple divisions and formations, highlighting broad representation within the Association’s leadership.  The Police Association plays a key role in advocating for the welfare, working conditions, and professional interests of police officers nationwide, and the newly elected board is expected to take up its duties during the 2026 term.
