Fellow members of the National Union of Public Workers,
As we step into a new year, I extend my warmest wishes to you and your families for a prosperous and fulfilling 2025. This is not just the start of a new calendar—it is a time for renewal, reflection, and re-commitment to the principles that unite us.
The past year has presented us with significant challenges. From navigating changes in government services to addressing long-standing issues related to contracts, working conditions, and departmental mergers, your union has worked tirelessly to advocate for fairness and equity in the workplace. In 2025, these challenges remain, but so too does our resolve to meet them head-on.
This year, we enter into negotiations on salaries and wages, a matter that directly impacts the well-being of our members and their families. Let me assure you that your interests remain at the heart of everything we do. Our leadership team is committed to securing the best possible outcomes—whether through improved compensation, better working conditions, or more equitable treatment for all workers.
However, we cannot achieve these goals alone. The strength of our union lies in its unity, and I urge each of you to stand firm in support of the NUPW. Your participation, your voices, and your unwavering commitment are what make our efforts successful. Together, we can continue to push for the respect and dignity that all workers deserve.
I want to take this opportunity to thank every member for your trust, patience, and partnership throughout the past year. Your dedication has not only strengthened our union but has also laid the groundwork for a better future for public workers.
As we embrace the opportunities and challenges of this new year, let us move forward with hope and determination. Together, we will build on the achievements of the past and continue to fight for a fairer, more equitable workplace for everyone.
Happy New Year to you all. May 2025 bring health, happiness, and success to each of you.
