Former senator, Warren Newby, is set to face a delegates’ selection contest on Sunday, March 23, in North West Clarendon.
Newby is vying to represent the Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, in the next general election.
The other two contenders are attorney-at-law Corey Dunkley and Dr. Clovis Nelson, a vocal member of the Jamaican diaspora.
Nationwide News understands that almost 1,000 delegates are eligible to vote.
Meanwhile, government senator, Marlon Morgan, says three seats, including North West Clarendon, are left to be settled by the party.
