NNN/Bluedot: Golding Consolidating PNP Support

2 days ago 4

It appears Mark Golding is consolidating his support with the People’s National Party’s base.

Since taking the reins of leadership of the party in 2020, Golding has been on a unity mission. According to the Bluedot polling data, it appears to be working.

Sixty-five per cent of comrades say Golding has done a good job. That’s a marginal improvement since February.

At the same time, the number of comrades who say Golding has been poor at his job has fallen by three points over the last three months.

The positive job rating from unaffiliated voters has held relatively steady at 13 per cent.

His negative job rating from unaffiliated voters has dropped marginally, moving down from 38 per cent to 34 per cent.

Fifty-three per cent of unaffiliated voters rate Golding as average.

But the Labourites are decidedly sour on Golding. Fifty-four per cent of them say he’s been a poor opposition leader. That’s a slight increase since February.

Only 7 per cent of Jamaica Labour Party supporters believe Golding has done a good job.
