NY – Caribbean Wine And Music Festival Returns to Putnam County 

The 15th Annual Putnam County Wine & Music Festival will return to Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park in Carmel, New York, on August 22–23, bringing together wine, live entertainment, Caribbean culture and family-friendly activities as it celebrates its milestone anniversary.

Founded by Jamaican-born Lauren Drummond, the festival has grown into one of the Hudson Valley’s signature summer events, attracting visitors from across New York and neighboring states. Drummond said the festival remains focused on bringing communities together through a celebration of diverse cultures, food, music and the arts.

This year’s event will feature wine, craft beer and spirits tastings, culinary demonstrations, artisan vendors, food trucks and activities for children, along with performances by a diverse lineup of musicians. Scheduled entertainers include Ras Droppa and Skankin Band, DJ Saggi, Simone G, Mike Risko & Miriam Risko Duo, The Cross Purpose Band, Bourbon and Britches Band, The Sundad Band, Carrie Zazz Band, Gratefully Yours and Ricki Eric.

New attractions for the 2026 festival include a Caribbean Food Delights patty-eating contest, expanded family entertainment with giant games and inflatables, and live cooking demonstrations led by Chef Vincent Tropepe. Tropepe’s nonprofit, Hospitality Mental Awareness Initiative USA, has also been selected as the festival’s official charity for this year’s event.

Drummond said the festival’s success over the past 15 years has been driven by its welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere and its commitment to showcasing cultural diversity. She noted that this year’s celebration also reflects the spirit of resilience and community as the United States marks its 250th anniversary.

Supported by local businesses, tourism organizations and Caribbean community partners, the festival continues to strengthen cultural and economic ties throughout the Hudson Valley while highlighting Caribbean music, cuisine and traditions. Organizers expect thousands of visitors to attend the two-day celebration.
