Reggae-dancehall fusion singer Nyle Banks believes that his latest single, Can't Turn Back Now, is the motivational gem that the youth need to push towards their dreams in 2025.
"Anybody who's trying to rise to the top is going to face adversity, and this song is a reminder that you can do it. All things are possible, if you just believe in yourself," said Nyle Banks, whose given name is Nicholas Levy. The song is a snapshot of the struggles facing the typical youngster growing up in poverty, but who is ambitiously aspiring towards one's dreams.
"I hope this song can inspire the youth to focus on positive things and never give up on their dreams," he said.
Nyle Banks has carved out a reputation as a talented singer and producer. Known for the song You Are My Lady, he has dabbled in production, scoring hits such as Capleton's Say Dem Love You on the 'Precious Time' rhythm. Released on his Nyle Banks Music Group imprint, the album peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard reggae album charts.
Nyle Banks scored another major achievement when his collaboration In Another Life, featuring Hawaiian singer Irie Love, hit four million streams on Spotify, and racked up more than three million streams on Apple Music. The song appeared in an episode of NCIS: Hawaii.
The albums Child of the Nile and New Wave helped the reggae-dancehall artiste gain a wider and more diverse audience. He has performed at shows in Belgium, Norway, Sweden, and several times in the US, including a 12-state tour with Etana in 2016, another 12-state tour with Kranium in 2017, and his own nine-state tour in 2019.
He migrated to the US and later changed his name from Fyakin in 2020. He returned to reside in Jamaica in 2022. He recently inked a recording and management contract with Devon Element, CEO of Fifth Element Records.
