Jamaica’s Oblique Seville continues to show superb form heading into the World Championship in Japan when he took down another impressive field to win the men’s 100m in the latest stop on the Wanda Diamond League circuit in Lausanne Switzerland on Wednesday.
Seville who won in London on July 19, once again flew out of the blocks and crushed the competition to win in 9.87 seconds in rainy conditions and into a headwind, beating the World and Olympic champion Noah Lyles who clocked 10.02 seconds, the same time credited to Ackeem Blake who was third.
Seville says if he continues to show this kind of form he’ll be untouchable in Japan.
Oblique Seville who’ll by pass the rest of the Diamond League season will not compete again until Tokyo.
Meanwhile national record holder Ackera Nugent was fourth in the 100m hurdles in 12.57 seconds with National champion Megan Tapper placing seventh in 13.06
2019 World champion Tajay Gayle was third in the men’s Long Jump with 7.71m, fourth was Carey McLeod 7.61m and fifth Wayne Pinnock 7.67m
Olympic bronze medallist Rajindra Campbell was 8th in the men’s Shot Put with 21m, Joe Kovacs won with 22.04m
