Oklahoma City Thunder are NBA champions.
The Thunder who won 68 games in the regular season, capped a historic campaign with a 103-91 victory over Indiana Pacers in game seven on Sunday night in Oklahoma.
Twenty-six-year-old Canadian, Shai Gilgeous Alexander, scored 26 points and dished out 12 assists for OKC to take the series 4-3.
It was the first time since 2016 that the finals went to a deciding seventh game.
Gilgeous Alexander was named Finals MVP to add to his regular season MVP award and scoring title.
He’s just the fourth player and first since Shaquille O’Neal to achieve the rare treble in one season.
It is the Thunder’s first title since they moved from Seattle to Oklahoma.
Seattle Supersonics won the NBA in 1979.
